A Community Hub for Employment & Wellbeing

Good Sports – A Community Hub for Employment & Wellbeing

About Good Sports

Good Sports is more than just a shop – it’s a key pillar of Mandalay Wellbeing CIC, providing practical support projects that lead to employment opportunities

Since opening in May 2024, we’ve supplied over 4,000 affordable sports and leisure items, enabling individuals to take part in activities that may have been previously inaccessible due to financial barriers.

We also provide essential items free of charge (FOC) through professional referrals from organizations including the NHS, DWP, local councils, and charities, ensuring that financial hardship doesn’t prevent people from improving their health and wellbeing.

A Hub for Community & Employment Initiatives

Located in the heart of Glorious Great Yarmouth, right next to the bus station, Good Sports serves as a community base for Mandalay Wellbeing CIC’s wider projects:

Take A Chance On Me – A workplace training initiative connecting jobseekers with employers, helping individuals access employment opportunities.

The Christmas Stocking Campaign – From September to January, Good Sports transforms into a Christmas Grotto, serving as a gateway project to engage businesses and individuals needing support during the festive season and beyond.

By combining social enterprise with practical support, Good Sports creates pathways to employment, builds confidence, and strengthens the community—ensuring that everyone, regardless of circumstance, has the chance to move forward.
